What is the Gateway Project? It's Where Big Ideas Meet Big Opportunities.
You have an idea you can't stop thinking about. Maybe it belongs on a bigger stage. Inside a book. On a podcast. At the center of a new business. Or at the heart of a thought-leadership platform that reaches the audience you want to reach.
You know the idea matters. The question is: How do you get it into the right rooms?
That's why founder, executive coach, and speaker whisperer Jacquelyn Fletcher Johnson created The Gateway Project.
The Gateway Project helps leaders, authors, speakers, founders, and emerging thought leaders turn powerful ideas into impact through thought leadership strategy, public speaking coaching, pitch development, and access to decision-
makers who can help those ideas grow.
Because we believe one thing deeply:
Ideas Love Community.

What is the Gateway Project?
The Gateway Project is a community and a platform for leaders, founders, authors, speakers, entrepreneurs, and emerging thought leaders who want to get their ideas into the world in a bigger way.
We're here to help you strengthen your idea, sharpen the way you communicate it, and build your visibility through writing a book, keynote speech, or social thought leadership platform. Then, we work to connect you with people who can help open doors.
Those people are what we call Trail Angels: literary and speaker agents, editors, event producers, media professionals, corporate decision-makers, and other industry insiders who understand how great ideas find their way to bigger platforms.
Through coaching experiences, live events, conversations, and pitch opportunities, Gateway creates something that's often hard to find: Access.
Access to people who know what makes an idea stand out.
Access to candid feedback.
Access to other ambitious people building meaningful work.
And access to opportunities that can change the trajectory of an idea.
The Gateway Gathering & Pitch Fest
The Gateway Gathering & Pitch Fest is our signature event.
Think Shark Tank, The Voice, or America's Got Talent—but instead of discovering the next singer or startup, we're discovering powerful ideas and the people behind them.
Over three days, visionary people come together to learn from thought leaders and Trail Angels, strengthen their ideas and pitches, make meaningful connections, and watch brave people put their missions in motion.
And here's something important:
You don't have to pitch to attend.
Some people come ready to step into the spotlight. Others come to learn, listen, make connections, strengthen their public speaking and storytelling skills, and understand what the people behind the gate are actually looking for.
Both belong at Gateway.
What Happens When You Pitch?
A Gateway pitch isn't simply about selling something.
It's about helping someone understand why your idea matters, why it matters now, and why you're the person to bring it into the world.
The Gate-Breakers who pitch at the Gateway have five minutes to bring their idea to life.
A powerful pitch begins with a strong hook: What's the problem you can't ignore?
What's happening right now that makes this idea important? What does the voice at your center HAVE to share?
Then we want to understand your credibility. Why you? What have you experienced, studied, built, discovered, or accomplished that makes you the person to share this idea more broadly?
From there, show us the solution. Tell us the stories and examples that make the idea real. Let us see the passion and mission driving the work.
And finally, make a specific ask: What door are you hoping to open?
Beyond the Pitch: Build an Idea That Can Have an Impact
We want you to be ready when the door opens.
That's why the Gateway Project goes beyond the Gathering itself.
Through Gateway coaching sprints, executive coaching, retreats, leadership development experiences, and our year-long intensive, participants work to clarify and package their ideas, strengthen their storytelling and public speaking, develop their pitches, build their thought leadership platforms, refine their personal brands, increase their visibility, and create strategies for reaching the people and opportunities that can give their work momentum.
But the goal isn't visibility for visibility's sake.
It's putting your mission in motion. Our larger mission is to activate the voice of soul in the world.
Your soul.
The Gateway is about impact, not ego.
Who is the Gateway For?
The Gateway is for people with a big idea or story that won't leave them alone. It's that inner nudge you feel to get on a stage, write a book, and share your message with the people who need it.
You might be developing a keynote, writing a book, building a thought-leadership platform, growing a business, strengthening your personal brand, creating a new body of work, pursuing media opportunities, or figuring out what your big idea could become.
You don't need to have everything figured out to join one of our programs.
You do need to believe there's something you're here to say, build, teach, create, or change.
We've watched enough people go through this process to know:
Becoming visible is an evolutionary process.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn't your idea, your credentials, your public speaking ability, or even your access to the right people.
Sometimes the biggest obstacle is becoming the person who is willing to fully own the voice at your center and what it wants to say.
That's why our coaching and leadership development programs don't simply help you package your ideas. We help you recognize the ways you may be sabotaging yourself, playing small, or waiting until you feel completely ready.
At some point, it's time to become the person who can say it, sing it, write it, teach it, or stand on a stage and share it.
Because we need you.
Success Stories
What can happen when you put your idea in the right room? Here are a few of the doors that have opened for members of the Gateway programs and those who have pitched at the Gateway Gathering & Pitch Fest:
Rachel Estes Leyk received a “no notes” response from TED’s Monique Ruff-Bell after her pitch. Speaker agent Holly Zelensky reached out immediately and signed Rachel two weeks later. She has since landed multiple paid speaking engagements.
Sabra Meretab came to Gateway community with a powerful idea for a book. She pitched at the first Gateway Gathering, landed a publisher, and her book will be coming out in 2027.
Cait Donovan turned her ideas and expertise into greater corporate visibility, landing multiple corporate speaking engagements.
Enrique Velázquez's TEDx talk hit 1.7 million views during a Gateway Coaching sprint. He'll be pitching his big idea at the Gateway Gathering & Pitch Fest in October.
Natalie Mead expanded her thought-leadership platform and landed a regular column in a magazine in her industry, giving her ideas an ongoing platform and a new audience.
These are five very different ideas and five very different paths. That's the point. The Gateway isn't about one definition of success. It's about getting clear on the idea you want to put into the world, learning how to communicate it powerfully, becoming the person who can bravely share your message, and getting it in front of people who can help you share it.
Why Community Matters
There is a myth that big ideas are built by lone geniuses. We don't believe it. In fact, we think it's completely wrong. We need each other. Why? Because:
Ideas Love Community.
Ideas get stronger when they're challenged.
They get clearer when you have to explain them.
They get braver when someone else believes in them.
And sometimes one conversation, one introduction, one piece of feedback, or one person saying, "I know someone you should meet" changes everything.
That's why we created a room filled with people who want to help good ideas get into the world. We gather the people who've LOVED stories since they were kids and get chills when they hear one that NEEDS to be heard.
We call those people Trail Angels because they love launching voices. They know the terrain and they know where the openings are. And sometimes they can point you toward a path you didn't know existed.
There's something else that's important to us.
In Gateway Sprints, retreats, intensives, and at the Gathering itself, you'll receive feedback on your ideas, storytelling, pitches, keynote speaking, books, and thought leadership platforms.
We believe candid feedback is essential to growth.
We also believe in protecting the spirit of the artist.
The Gateway is a place where you can learn, experiment, grow, and build confidence. And if you're already comfortable putting your work out into the world, you can level up through feedback from Trail Angels who represent different parts of the thought leadership ecosystem.
We can challenge the work without crushing the person creating it.
That's the kind of community we're building.
